That should just mean that the Gravatar images don’t load. If you’re worried about that, use Skippy’s plugin which caches the images on your server.

The gravatar.com domain appears not to have been renewed, and is currently showing as in “registrar hold” status. If it isn’t renewed within whatever the time limit is, it will lapse, and will be available for someone else to register…
Anyone know how much longer Gravatr is going to be down or is it gone for good?

I was looking for how everyone was getting the Avatars for their readers. When I finally found that they were using Gravatar, they were already down. Since they have been not allowing any updates or new users, I decided to create one that others could use! It is called Blogatar, found at http://www.blogatar.com.
