Gravity Forms causing jquery error even with jquery excluded

Hi Support,

Autoptimize has been an excellent plugin. It is working well on all my pages except for the contact page. It is causing issues with some svg graphics and other minor visuals on the page.

When I inspect page, it says uncaught typeError and has jquery being the issue.

I have searched this forum already and I can see some people having the same issue but I have already excluded jquery in the plugin: js/jquery/jquery.js, js/jquery-3.1.3.min.js

Do you have further suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Can you try excluding themes/sydneyprive/js/scripts.js?

Did that but nothing changed. Here are all my excludes:

wp-includes/js/dist/, wp-includes/js/tinymce/, js/jquery/jquery.js, js/jquery-3.1.3.min.js, js/modal.min.js, themes/sydneyprive/js/scripts.js, sydneyprive/js/scripts.js

OK, can you now untick the “minify excluded CSS/ JS”-option?

I unticked it but nothing changed.

hmm, can you try excluding themes/sydneyprive entirely instead?

let’s take the easy road in that case (have to leave soon), exclude the page from being autoptimized with this little trick and be done with it? 😉

hehe thanks. That tricked fixed the visual bugs.

The jquery issue is still displaying in dev tools though. Will this still be an issue in future?

No idea to be honest. Given the page now is not autoptimized any more this confirms the root cause of what you were experiencing was not the autoptimization as such but with the theme’s scripts.js. Maybe contact the theme developer for support on that?
