• Arguably the best free security plugin, considering the features. However the notification system is an absolute mess! The plugin is flooding your inbox with notification resulting either in: clients are scared that website is being hacked or you disable everything but critical notifications (arguably creating a security risk)… Wordfence hasn’t done anything for years to improve this. Premium option adds faster security updates, however customer support is rather poor in my experience so it’s hard to justify the costs.

Thanks for your support and review @hullukettu, although I’m sorry to hear you’re not so happy with the notifications provided to you and your clients.

I appreciate you’re already aware of changing severity levels to receive, along with checking/unchecking the other options in Wordfence > All Options > Email Alert Preferences, so we’d be more than happy to hear about your use-case and which changes you might like to see at feedback @ wordfence . com

Unfortunately we can’t provide direct support in reviews, but if there is anything you think we can help you with in this area by all means start up a new topic on the forums (or at https://support.wordfence.com if you have a Wordfence Premium license).

    Peter.
