Great plugin! Some bugs Ive found.

    Firstly, great work devs! This is a really clean, easy to use plugin that has a lot of potential! I hope to see developed further!

    Ive been testing it over the past few days and have run into the following issues:

    – Wrong countdown time if you change UTC time zones after starting a contest
    Browser affected: Chrome
    If I start a contest, in Chrome v28.0.1, it shows up fine at first visit. If you then change the UTC time to something else, the browser does not reflect that change (cache issue?).

    – All contestants emailed as winners?
    In a test run, I entered 3 emails. On conclusion of the contest, all 3 were emailed as winners. I will attempt to replicate this today to confirm. Is the plugin defaulted to only pick 1 winner?

    – Winner not shown to be automatically selected
    After selecting the winner to be drawn randomly at the end of the contest. The contest ended, but the participant screen did not show that any winner was picked. Refreshing the screen did not change it. I had to push the pick winner randomly button. This occurred to a contest that I tried to edit after it had already begun.

    Could editing the settings during a contest be resetting some of the other settings?

    So far it seems most of these issues occur if you make changes to the contest after it has already begun.

    Suggestion to those using this plugin is to make sure everything is correct as you enter it and not to make changes once it has begun.

    Minor bugs encountered have been mentioned by other users already.

    thank you very much for your testing & reports.

    – we will look into the timing issue

    – contesthopper does not send any emails to winner(s),
    what was the email contents?

    – automatic winner pick is made every hour through wp_cron call, that means that after the contest ends, there can be a delay (worst case 59 minutes) until the winner(s) are picked.
