Great simple backup solution

    No need for a ton of frills when all you want to do is back up quickly and safely. This plugin gets the job done. It eliminates having to login to my host and backing up manually.

    Quick tutorial on how I use it here.

    Update 1/7/15: I’ve backed off slightly on my 5* to 4* due to a recent issue I had. Some of the databases that were backed up were corrupted and also, if you run a deluxe hosting package, the plugin doesn’t know the difference between the folders so it backs up EVERYTHING in the root folder. If there was a better way to control which folders don’t get backed up, this would be a much better plugin and it would probably have cut back on the corrupted database file.

    You can exclude files and directories in the root folder from the backup. Just select Excludes from the BackupWordPress menu, scroll down and select –> Exclude to omit whatever item from the backup.
