We have different groups on our side.

Take, for example, the Harley-Davidson group.

I also have an album Harley motorcycles.

Is there a possibility that only the group “Harley-Davidson” can see the album “Harley motorcycles” and all the other groups can’t?

Not yet, but i will think about it.
How do i know to what group a user belongs? Do they have a special role/capability?

I assigned certain roles to the users in the backend, all of which have the permissions such as Participant.

In addition, the groups should receive different extra permissions so that only they can see their area.

I assume you are familiar with plugins like https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/user-role-editor/ where you can easily create and assign capabilities.

I can add a setting in the album information where you can specify one out of all existing capabilities.
When such a capability is set, the akbum and its conbtent will only be visible by:
admin, wppa superusers and users that have the selected capability.

    Would this fit your needs?

    Yes, that would be great….

If I select a group there, they can’t see the album.

Shouldn’t it be the case that only the selected group can see the album?

I will test it further, but it should work that these users can see the album and its content…

    (@opajaap)

Correct. For photos it works, for albums not yet. Sorry, pls wait for the next pre-release
    To be continued…

There was a confusion between internal rolename ( like administrator ) nand external e.g. Adinistrator

    https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/wp-photo-album-plus.9.1.06.007.zip fixes it.

You should check/re-select the setting in the album settings to correct it!!!

    Now it’s working great.

Thank you very much and Merry Christmas.
