Group vs Member

I am not using groups on my site but am using buddypress to show the members. I want to force the tutors and students to complete their profile pages but not the Admins. I tried using this plugin (seems to be the only one out there) but couldn’t exclude the admins and when I activated it, I was getting errors because my profile wasn’t complete. I really need a way to force the two roles to complete profiles before moving on.
