    I believe what you are referring to is a functional term called Double Sorting; which results in grouped sorting.

    It’s on the todo list, but is still waiting to be added. Recently, APL just passed a big milestone with 0.4, and shifts it into a better direction. So, there may be a better determination as to when sometime soon.
