Groups to protect bbpress forums

I have created 3 forums using bbpress to replace current yahoo groups. Each has it’s own membership. I am trying to understand how to set up groups to accomplish this and am hoping for some help. How do I set up Groups to allow only users that have “accounts” for each of the forums and only access the forum for which they have that account? Is there some kind of overview of the process that would make using this plug in easier for me (I seem to have some kind of mental block!)

Hi,

Here’s a simple solution: create a capability named registered and assign it to the Registered group, all users with accounts belong to that group. Now you can use the registered capability to protect forums, topics and replies if you use https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/groups-bbpress/
