    Hello,

I’m using WP Events Manager, Version 5.8.1.3

When I creating new event, GUID field in wp_posts has a error:
    http://domain.tld/?post_type=event&p=14777
this link is not working, when I manually remove simbols #038;, link is working.
What can I do, ti fix this error?

    Thanks,
    Dimitri

  • Hi Dimitri,

Where are you seeing this link generated?

    Hello Caimin!

I see this link database table WP_POSTS, in field GUID.

We don’t use that field for anything, that’s all handled by WP. From the looks of it, that’s normal behaviour too, as I see the same format for other post types.

Are you experiencing any errors on the site itself?

    Hello Marcus,

Yes, when i’m tring to go to the direct link, with #038; characters inside the link, i got 404 eror.

The problem is, that in link I’ve got & character and #038; also, both of them, as you can see bellow:

Is theree eny solution, to remove #038;?

    Thanks,
    Dimitri

    Hi Dimitri,

I mean if you visit the event page from within your WP dashboard, i.e. click the ‘view’ link for your event, or when viewing your events page/calendar does that work? I’m going to guess yes.

That GUID is only used for RSS feeds from what I’ve read and that value probably gets converted properly whilst generating a feed.
