Gutenberg block Editor

I built a site off line and the block editor worked just fine. When the site went live the block editor disappeared. I only have classic. I have reviewed other solutions online and I don’t have any of the setting adjustments in user or setting. Any help would be very appreciated. The version I am using for the site is 5.2.2. The theme I used supported the block editor offline.

Do you have the classic editor plugin installed on the live site?

No. With the theme both were available with no installation.

So the theme enables the classic editor? If so, I recommend asking at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/theme/customify#new-post so the theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

Even though WP indicates my version is up to date. Would you suggest repudiating the version.

No, that wouldn’t accomplish anything. Change the theme to twentyninteen as a test. Do you get the block editor again?

Great. So no real solution it sounds like. Since I don’t have the ability to change anything in my user settings other than turning visual editor on or off.

Thanks for all your help. Maybe the Theme team will get back to me.

Overall I find this very disappointing that the block editor did not carry over when the site went live. I found it to be much more responsive than the old one.

It’s there; something in your environment is breaking it.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.

Ok I think there is more going on here the site won’t even let me install the plug in.
