    Hi,
I saw WordPress is about to implement a new post editor with one of the upcoming updates, the Gutenberg editor.
I am now experimenting with the plugin they suggested to use until the official WP release, and I had to notice that it is not compatible with sublanguage at all 🙁
The top post tabs (where you can switch the language) disappeared, and going through the admin posts listing and switching there or through the top WP bar edit option do not help either …. the post is automatically redirected to the English version.

Could you please look into it? With no fix for this, once WP will release the new version with the integrated Gutenberg editor, we won’t be able to use Sublanguage anymore 🙁

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hello,
I’m no fan of Gutenberg, but sure I’ll try to bring support before next WP release. Anyway you’ll still be able to deactivate Gutenberg via a plugin and continue to use the good old editor.

    HI,
Yes, I did deactivate it (I am also not crazy about it), but who knows what the WP guys have in mind for the future … I fear they’ll simply replace the classic editor with this Gutenberg 🙁

Thanks for all the effort, sublanguage is a great plugin!

Finally I released the new version (2.5) which includes support to Gutenberg. The implemantation was challenging and the result is far from perfect, so don’t expect it to run flawlessly. But any feed-back is welcome.
