I want to use the Gutenberg Editor for my events so the content in my events is uniform with the rest of my website. When I check the box labeled “Activate Block Editor for Events” and then click “Add New” to make a new event I am greeted by a blank page. The error “Block type core/missing is not registered” is console logged on this page.

This same result happens on Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

Is there a solution to this or is it a new bug? If it is new how would I go about reporting it to the plugin creators?

    Hi @travislott,

I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

    Hi,

I didn’t realize I had gotten a response to this. I’ll make sure to keep a closer eye on my email. I know that the conflict is between my theme and the events calendar plugin itself. All changes are being made on a staging server because we are building a new website to replace the current one and it is not live yet. I can’t for the life of me even find exactly where the error is being thrown because the console error only includes min.js files in its paths. The big problem is that once this error is thrown all javascript stops. There is an error being thrown on the page itself and is display:hidden but it says
“The block editor requires JavaScript. Please enable JavaScript in your browser settings, or install the Classic Editor plugin”.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I would find the issue? Everything else about the plugin works correctly. I need the Gutenberg editor for uniformity. The theme contains everything that we’ve been building over the last 6-8 months and cannot be replaced so I need to find a solution within it

    Hi @travislott

    Thanks for your response.

I’m afraid it’s difficult to provide support if you’re using a custom theme. Your developer may be able to help you debug the issue on your end, as they possess more knowledge about it.

In the meantime, you can try checking the logs by enabling debugging on your WordPress site. As always, please test this first on your staging site.
