• Hello,

I haven’t used my site for a while but I started to revive it today, however, I just noticed that there was a text link to a porn site in my header. Luckily once I unchecked the display tagline in Customise, it disappeared from the main site and the source code. The weird thing is that I couldn’t find it anywhere in the tagline on my settings so I am trying to figure out how to delete it for good.

Please could someone help me out?
    Leon

  • I am sorry to hear your site is damaged. Do you or your hosting company have a full backup of your site? The fastest and most sure way to repair your site is to restore from a backup made before the hack.

Without a backup your only solution is to repair the site. Follow this guide.

When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

hmm, that’s weird, I checked the box again and it seems that it is gone for good, for now at least.

I’ll keep an eye out though
