    Hello!

I installed Cleantalk on my customer website. When trying to test the functionality with the address [email protected], the contact form at https://laurafuenfstueck.com/contact/ doesn’t display the Cleantalk Spam message as it is on other sides, but the form just times out and doesn’t come back. The customer uses Happyforms as a contact form plugin – couldn’t find any entries here in the forum related to Happyforms.

    Any idea?

    Cheers Peter

    Hello Peter,

    We’ve fixed the issue.

    Please, reinstall the plugin. ( https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/fix-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip )

Here is a guide for you:

    1. Go to WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
    2. Find the plugin “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
    3. After the automatic page refreshing find the plugin again “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
    4. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
    5. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
    6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.

All the changes will be included in the next stable release.

    Best wishes.

Thanks – that works. But a little bit different as on other sites, I made with Elementor and using the Elementor form. With Happyforms, the form completely disappears, just posting the “Forbidden” message instead – nevertheless, better as before and OK to use it now!
