Hashtags navigation mode available in the menu settings. You can switch between these modes if you define tags for the gallery images in the media manager.
Comments functionality, unfortunately, do not available in the current gallery version.

I can’t find where to switch gallery navigation to the hash tags like in your demos. I’ve just tried to modify categories settings, but with no luck.
Another questions related with the photos comments. Can I integrate comments to the galelry and import comments from some instagram photos?
