• Please please please help. I am at my wits’ end and can’t even figure out how to find out what happened.

Today, I finally decided to set up my own hosting for my blog, which is located at superfastreader.wordpress.com. I had already purchased superfastreader.com from GoDaddy.

I transferred superfastreader.com over to BlueHost by pointing the nameservers to the right DNS, installed WordPress, and was up and running with my new site.

I happily configured everything through superfastreader.com/wp-admin. I used a different theme in my new blog because I liked it better.

Then, I used the wordpress admin to set up superfastreader.com on my wordpress account using domain mapping.

I added the wordpress DNS to the nameservers in GoDaddy, then selected to have superfastreader.wordpress.com point to superfastreader.com.

It worked. The wordpress blog pointed to the new blog, which I could easily verify because I could see the new theme.

And then, a few minutes later, it stopped doing that.

Now, no matter what kind of switching I do, everything points to the old blog.

Even worse, superfastreader.com/wp-admin points to my wordpress admin, not the new admin I just set up today.

I have no idea what to do.

That’s the issue right there. Use the GoDaddy nameservers, not both.

edit: Looks like they figured it out.
