    Hi there,

I’m trying to test something using the plugin but I don’t believe it’s possible.

We’ll be selling patterns at 50% off at Christmas using a code to automatically apply at the cart that reduces the pattern by 50%.

BUT, we’d also like to give the customer the option of a further 10% off yarn, when 5 patterns are added to the cart.

I’ve tested a few things, but cannot see if this is really possible.

I guess there are 2 coupons that would need to be at work, one to apply the 50% discount on patterns, but another that knows when 5 patterns have been added to the cart that offers a 10% discount on any yarn purchase.

    Any thoughts?

    Many thanks,
    Stefan

    Hi @stefanthefibreco,

    Greetings from WebToffee support.

If I understand your query correctly, you would like to provide a 50% discount on all purchases of the “patterns” and another 10% discount on “yarn” if 5 of the “patterns” are added to the cart.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to implement this using a single coupon. However, it can be done using two different coupons.

    Coupon 1:
A percentage coupon with a 50% discount. Add the patterns category to the category restriction (in Usage restriction tab) field of the coupon.

    Coupon 2:
A BOGO coupon with the Any product from specific category giveaway type. Add the patterns category to the category restriction field of the coupon and set the minimum quantity restriction to 5. Go to the giveaway tab and select the Any product from specific category option. Set the discount as 10%.

You can use these two coupons together by disabling the Individual use only option. However, the Any product from specific category option is only available in the premium version of the plugin.

If you are interested, you may check it out on our website. If you have any pre-sale query about the premium plugin, please reach out to us through this link.

I’m looking for the same thing. We sell summer programs than run for 7 weeks but the customer can signup for as many or as few days as they want. The product is setup as variable product that shows all variations (i.e. 35 days to choose from). Every time they buy a full week (Mon-Fri from Week 1) they get a discount. We have 7 coupons setup for these full week discounts, one for each set of contiguous Mon-Fri days (variations) with the “All” operator. However they ALSO get an ADDITIONAL discount for purchasing multiple complete weeks. The simplest method would be to apply a discount when X number of these OTHER coupons have been auto-applied. So if the Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, and Week 4 coupons have been auto-applied ALSO auto-apply this other coupon. Basically coupons based on coupons. I guess that’s just not possible.
