• I’ve been asked to do a site which will be my first site in wordpress. (I’ve done a lot of other stuff in PHP/HTML/MySql) It’s not a blog, so it will all be pages.

However the client wants the pages in 3 columns, each of which should be user editable content
    eg column 1
Our baked beans come from selected Peruvian Baked Bean planations on the slopes of Mount Wotawoppa.

    Column 2
Try our wonderful baked beans, freshly cooked and canned just for you.

    column 3
Did you know that baked beans are an ancient and magical source of vitamins and prevent hair loss.

Looking at WordPress documentation it seems to me that there is only scope for 1 editable column, the other must be for various links, widgets and other similar stuff.

Am I right, or have I missed something?

  • Let me see if I understand you correctly. You want a wordpress page that is divided into three columns, each one editable from a dashboard editor. If so, I must say I haven’t seen that particular request before and can’t recall seeing a plugin that would handle it. I’m sure the versatility of wordpress allows it, but I couldn’t tell you how to approach it, off the top of my head.

there seems to be at least one widget that claims to do it:

(i have no personal experience with it)
