What you are trying to accomplish–adding a timer to a banner or sticky header–is not supported directly from the plugin itself. This would be a more advanced use and would require modifying the child-theme’s header file.

Why are you not using the yith-topbar-countdown plugin that seems to have this feature built in?

It’s not mobile compatible – which completely defeats the purpose when >75% of users are on mobile.

It’s alright, I’ll figure out something. Thanks anyway 🙂

if you are confortable with working with template files, you could insert the plugin using the do_shortcode function.
Check out the leia countdown style as it is a pure text countdown that can be easily styled by CSS.
