hCaptcha bad response from server error

Hi. hCaptcha appears to work – it displays all the relevant stuff and resolves to a tick. However, when pressing submit, I get a “bad response from server” error. If I remove the captcha field, the form completes successfully. Any ideas? The log does not show anything.

A turnstile integration would be cool in the future.
