  • Hey again,

To be honest I never used that, I’m assuming it should work since it should effectively do the same thing.

Creating child theme is not really that hard and there are plenty tutorials on how to create one, you can find one of them here:

[Link moderated and replaced with codex article: https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Child_Themes ]

    Hope this helps 🙂

Hi Bojan, your link forwards onto one of your company’s commercial services. In most cases you’re pretty good at linking people to the right places, maybe this is just a slip up. Let’s continue to link people to the Codex articles.

    Hi Bojan!

Thank you very much! I will try creating one using the link you’ve provided. Hopefully it would work. I will get back to you with an update when I’ve created one and tested the code you gave me.

    Many thanks! 🙂

    Hey Andrew,

I’m not trying to argue, just seeking clarity as it’s been fine linking to blog resources in the past.

The article I linked to was not for our commercial services, we don’t create child themes for people. The article was a tutorial on creating child themes which should benefit to the member. Also I did link the Codex article first in my previous post so I just wanted to provide a different tutorial in case member couldn’t understand the first one.

Are we no longer allowed link to resources which benefit the end users?

Thank you kindly for offering me guidance here 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bojan

I’m not sure if you’re aware that there’s a campaign running at the URL you posted: http://snag.gy/0qpYo.jpg . Maybe it will appear for you if you clear your cookies? Not sure why you wouldn’t be seeing it.

More info to help; this was appended to the URL:

    Hey Andrew,

Ah, we’ve had that running for all first time visitors for a long time. Once dismissed it shouldn’t come back.

So, because of the general popover we can’t link to our blog?

Lots of other sites do this also, should I not link to them either?

Thanks for you time and help 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bojan

I know you have good intentions, but I don’t think you should link to a page on your site if they’re going to be shown that popup. People (not accusing you or your team) can easily abuse that on the forums, unfortunately.

    Hey Andrew,

Thank you for your time and clarification 🙂

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    hello bojan!

I have created a child theme for my blog. Where should insert in the header part the code you’ve sent to me: <div class=”headerbanner”><img src=”http://merrytomarry.ph/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/AMagicalEvent_Platinum_728x90-2.jpg&#8221; alt=”AMagicalEvent_Platinum_728x90 (2)”/></div> ?

    Hey again,

First make a copy of your header.php in your child theme if you didn’t already do that and after you can add it between lines 24 and 25, see screenshot
    http://screencast.com/t/x65V81UF.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan
