yes, but how can i fix the problem when i dont know what browser someone will be viewing it on?
The theme you are using, Atahuala, has pretty extensive options for the header. This is not a wordpress issue.
It is all controlled on the dashboard, appearance, Atahuala theme options, header image. I see you are not using a lot of the header options. Atahaula provides great support if you want to check there.
david_m Wanted to know if you checked it in different browsers. I checked it in IE7, 8, 9, FF5, Safari and Chrome and it looked fine. The site validates (Great!).
This is most likely a local computer problem. Check for which browsers and versions were being used.
Ok…I know I use IE at work, I’m just not sure which version, and that was where I was not seeing the header at all. I also have had two others check the site on Safari, and both of them had the edges being cut off (again not sure which versions). However, I’m viewing it on Safari 4.1.3 right now and it is viewing how I want it.
I haven’t let anyone know the site is out there yet, and I want to make sure it will show up fine for everyone before I do. Since at least 6 computers I know of have had trouble viewing it, I wasn’t sure what I could do to solve the problem first.
one more question kmessinger….since you mentioned the header options in Atahuala, i went back to look to see if there was anything else there i could do. It talks near the top about the following:
if you chose a fixed width layout, the image(s) should be as wide as your layout width.
If you chose a fluid layout, the images should be as wide as your “max width” setting.
how do i choose a fluid layout? i think thats what i want?
Those settings I use a 92% fluid on one site) are under dashboard, appearance, Atahualpa theme options, Style & configure Layout.
I thought adjusting those settings would fix my problems but it has not…
