If not… where should I see the featured image then ?
Hi there,
For pages, the 2000px x 1200px should show as the header image at the top of the page. If it isn’t that exact size, the theme will scale and crop the images depending on the page and device size.
For posts, they will not be panel sized. The post page will look like this:
https://lodestardemo.wordpress.com/news/?demo
Hope this helps. You can see the setup of the panels and headers on the lodestar theme’s support page here: https://wordpress.com/theme/lodestar
Are you talking of the featured images (2000px x 1200px) that are supposed to be replacing the header image (2000px x 1200px) when this page is been opened ?
Yes, Exactly.
So when on the post page you should see multiple posts at this size:
https://lodestardemo.wordpress.com/news/?demo
But when you click on an individual post, you should see the featured image at 2000 px x 1200 px like this example:
https://lodestardemo.wordpress.com/2016/07/06/creativity-on-a-deadline/?demo
I see that your header image is the image on all of your posts. The header image will be the default image if you do not add a featured image to that particular post.
Yes on http://www.martinponcelet.com, I did’nt put any features images yet! But I’m working on an other project where I did upload 2000px x 1200px images that I have put in some pages has feature images, but unfortunaly doesn’t appear whe these pages are opened!
Any idea why ?
The other site isn’t open yet, it’s still under construction. But if someone is willing to help, I’ll crate an acount for him for guiving me help to fix that (and my search button too! Lolll)…
Regards
Hi there,
To make sure that feature images are enabled on pages and/or posts, while in your dashboard go to appearance > customize > content options and make sure that the Display on single posts is clicked. Otherwise, the featured image will not show up in the header.
Let me know if that works. Thanks!
@darnelldibbles, you ROCK!
Yes all works as 123… Need to send you a bottle of wine!
Thanks, body 😉
Anytime! Glad I can help!
