Hi with all the table options enabled (Search, Sort, etc), the table header and table body are generated as two separate html table elements. I’m not sure why you did it that way, but if the contents of a table cell changes width (on hover, for example), the headers and columns don’t line up. How do I keep them in sync?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not sure that I can follow. I assume that you have also enabled the “Horizontal Scrolling” checkbox? This is the only thing that could cause this, I think. I’m not sure why the DataTables JS library does this, but they will have their reasons 🙂

If you want, you can then replace the functionality of the “Horizontal Scrolling” checkbox with the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

    Regards,
    Tobias
