Header drops over page when enabeling
-
Hi,
This is what my header looks like w/out your plugin enabled.
https://ibb.co/9y2HrW5
When I enable your plugin the header drops down over the page.
https://ibb.co/GJtj3qWI couldn’t find the right setting to adjust for this. Could you please let me know?
I intend to use your plugin to change the sticky header color and shrink the header/logo.
I am using Elementor PRO.
Thanks,
SteveThe page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, try checking the header section > advanced > z-index. Set it to a really high number. Also, try setting the z-index for the section beneath it to a lower number. Let me know if this helps or if you have a link.
No it didn’t help if this is what you meant.
https://ibb.co/6gN2m2WDo I need your email for the login link to work?

James Huff. Reason: login link removed
I don’t need a login, just a link to the site so I can look at the code. I’ll see what I can do and reach back to you here.
@stevebenthalgmailcom could you please delete the login link from your post. We don’t want anybody on your site. Thanks
Sorry I misunderstood.
https://johannashope.org/I don’t see my plugin enabled in the code. I set the header section z-index: 2 !important; and it’s working
No I had disabled the plugin to leave it in the original condition. I thought you’d be logging in as an admin.
Could you please copy me that code? I can’t read it all.
Do I put it in Custom CSS or do I add z-index 2 and !important; to the css class here?
https://ibb.co/LRJzSQPThanks,
SteveSelect your header section > advanced tab > z-index > enter 99999 so it’s on top of everything. No need for code.
If this is happening with my plugin disabled then it’s not my plugin causing it. From looking at the site it looked like the background was transparent on the entire page. I saw a fixed background with text scrolling over it. Something isn’t right on the page., My plugin wasn’t even activated so it couldn’t have been affecting anything.
I hope you figure it out but I can’t help much if it’s not my plugin.-

Can you please edit you previous post and remove the wp-admin link to your site? I don’t need a login. It’s not safe to have that on here, others can log into your site.
Ok let me try to explain again since I’ve had elementor support look at it too.
When your plugin is disabled it see a green header on top of my banner image.
https://ibb.co/PNTLdQS
When I scroll down the header scrolls with it, same color.
https://ibb.co/chp7CVv
Here is advanced settings.
https://ibb.co/VpyCkjTWhen I ENABLE your plugin the GREEN goes away and the header drops down to cover my banner image
https://ibb.co/vdtT3Ry
When I scroll down, it does what is should and changes to gray.
https://ibb.co/WPPDBTzSo I don’t understand why when I enable your plugin the Green goes away and the header drops down, even w/ z-index still set to 999.
Here are your settings.
https://ibb.co/5G8syyVI’ve left your plugin ENABLED to you can see it.
Sorry for confusion from my previous explanation.
SteveYour header is transparent because you have transparent on. Position absolute is so the header can cover what’s under it. You don’t have an “initial transparent header” which is what that setting says is for. It doesn’t need to be on.
Yes, that fixed it!!!
Thank you very much!
SteveHappy to help!
Hi,
I got he sticky header working great on the desktop but it’s a problem on the phone and I can’t seem to change the settings.
https://ibb.co/b74QsxNI also tried to disable it for phone if I cannot adjust the height setting but it’s still the same.
https://ibb.co/nzxxgK3Thanks,
STeveHi, I see that you haven’t adjusted the column width for mobile. By default, elementor sets all columns to 100% width on mobile. This causes all the columns to stack on top of one another and become very tall. You have to adjust this for tablet and mobile as you need. This is just part of building with elementor. My plugin isn’t doing this.
Here is a tutorial on how to adjust those settings
https://themes.artbees.net/docs/creating-responsive-columns-in-elementor/#:~:text=Click%20on%20the%20column%20settings,open%20with%20the%20column’s%20settings.&text=4.,for%20each%20of%20them%20individually.Google “elementor responsive column width”. You should find plenty of articles and videos.
