• I started getting an error when trying to log into my admin area at /wp-admin.

The site looks fine but cannot get to the back end.

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/brasd754/public_html/wp-content/themes/Avada/admin/index.php:2) in /home/brasd754/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 875

I have searched for fixes, looked for blank lines but am not really sure which files to look for the blank lines in.

  • Appears to be a problem with your theme – you could try reinstalling it, or ask the developer about it:

We don’t have access to commercial themes so have no way to help with them, sorry.

I think initially, you may need to use your ftp client to rename the Avada theme folder. “Avada.bak” or “Avada.old” or something similar should be fine. Then clear your browser cache and revisit your site at your_site.com/wp-admin. That should let you log back in and at the same time re-apply the default WordPress theme.

Then, because the theme is commercial in nature, you should contact support using the link provided at the point of purchase for additional documentation and trouble shooting tips for Avada.
