Header Image Disappeared

I finally got my horizontal navigational list layed out right along the bottom of my header image but in the process the image disappeared and now there is nothing. I have gone up and down the code for header.php and styles.css back and forth compared with the tutorial code for designing headers at the codex and everything looks fine. My image is uploaded to the images directory and it worked before so I must have done something stupid arranging my navagation links. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
