Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.
#branding img, #header-image img {
height:300px;
}
You can change the height according to your choice.

I am not familiar with CSS Code and am wondering why the code you provided is spread over 3 lines instead of all on one line…and why the 2nd line is indented…does the indent have to be a specific number of spaces?

The code is spread over 3 lines with an indent on the 2nd line just for clarity and the whitespace does not have any significance.
