Hello, I have a problem with the header image. After I inserted my image as a header image via the customizer, it is only displayed in black. Actually, a beach picture can be seen behind the logo. Why can’t I see the image? Regards, Isabel<font _mstmutation=”1″></font>

    Hi @nordishbybella,

You seem to have some kind of image lazyloading plugin installed that conflicts with the header image. Try disabling it and see if that fixes the issue.

    Hello Anders,

I use the Autoptimize plugin and have now disabled lazy loading. In fact, the header image pops up right away with no issues. I still have one question: Does the delayed loading function generally have to remain switched off, or do I have to take something into account when making the setting so that I can use delayed loading without having to do without my header image? Do you have a hint for me? I work with many pictures 😉

you can always use the “lazyload exclusion” field in Autoptimize to exclude just that image from being lazyloaded 🙂

    hope this helps,

Hi Frank, I can’t get the setting in Autoptimize. I entered the filename of the header image in the “lazyload exclusion” field and increased the number to 2 in the “Delayed loading from the nth image” field. As soon as I save the setting, I have the problem again that the header image is not loaded reliably. I’ve tried a variety of options, but have been failing for a few hours. Can you tell me what I need to put in the “lazyload exclusion” field in order for the header to show up? I have no more ideas.

Maybe start by trying to increase the “Delayed loading from the nth image” to e.g. 5 to see if that solves the problem (if so, you can try decreasing to 4 or 3) to get it to the sweet spot?

I have now only changed the value for “Delayed loading from the nth image” to 5. Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem.

OK, so it seems apart from AO there’s something else (a plugin or the theme) also doing lazyloading and for that CSS-background image that seems to be causing a conflict. so you happen to know what that “someething else” is and can you disable it?

Perfect, thanks for the tip. I have another image optimizer where I was able to exclude the header image. Now it’s working. Thanks very much:)
