Header images different sizes

Hi guys!

I unfortunately still have problems with my two header images on my landing page/homepage not being the same size. I haven’t changed the format I photograph in, and it is a complete mystery to me why my header images suddenly are “longer”. If you go to my recipe archives (here), all my photos are cropped to the same size – I didn’t do anything to change their sizes, so I guess it’s just done automatically by the system. That’s why it is all the more frustrating for me, that my “newer” header images are longer! They aren’t cropped for whatever reason …

If you go to my blog, you’ll see that the second image on the right, “Tiroler Cake”, is quite out of focus. That’s because I actually copied it into canva, made a new “photo” out of it, and then uploaded it to the blog. Funny enough, my system doesn’t change the cropping then. It’s very, very frustrating, and I don’t know what to do!
Must I change something within my settings? Or was there part of an update I misunderstood, where I would now have to change these image sizes manually?
