I’m trying to verify my website in google but when I put the meta code in the header.php and click the update the codes a message appear like an error and the whole codes inside the header.php was deleted.
Can anyone help me I’m not that familiar with STP or FSTP I don’t know how to fix it.
To be honest I don’t know how to fixed it. when I checed the header.php in the Appearance-Editor-header.php all the code in the box are deleted and empty.

It is very simple.
Steps:
1. Download the theme you are using.
2. Open .zip file
3. open header.php in text editor select all code and copy
4. Go to dashboard -> Theme Editor -> Edit header.php -> Paste your copied code
5. SAVE.
