hello! i’ve been using kale for years now with no problems. i upgraded to 2.8 today and now there is a header image showing that wasn’t there before. when i attempt to customize the theme, there is no header image in that section, despite the page showing a default image of some blueberries.

i am able to choose a different image for the header and it displays correctly. when i remove it and leave no header image, the blueberry picture is back.

i am not using a child theme and have never made changes to the theme files. i have not added or taken away any plugins that were there before this upgrade. i run a network of sites all using the same plugins and theme – sites running kale 2.7 do not have this header image issue; only the ones with 2.8 have this issue.

i am unable to provide a link to the sites affected; they are of an adult nature and require payment to accesss.

    please advise! thank you!

Very sorry to hear about the trouble, thanks for the heads up!

Could you let us know what you currently have selected under Appearance > Customize > Front Page > Banner/Slider? We should be able to have a fix for this released promptly.

Just a quick note here to let you know that we’ve released an update to address this- very sorry for the inconvenience and thanks again for letting us know!

wow! thanks for such a prompt response and fix!

if it’s helpful – i have “banner” chosen under appearance>customize>front page>banner/slider and under appearance>customize>header image i have none selected.

i did rollback to 2.7 and everything was correct again; i’ll happily update now that you’ve patched the issue!

Thanks so much for the helpful feedback, really appreciate that!
