I have been trying to remove old header entries that had been inserted using WPcode. I can Add a new entry but cant find a way to remove the old one. So basically, both entries are showing in the headers. I looked in the database but do not have wp_snippets in there at all. Where are the entries and how do I identify them.

    Hi @synthesisit,

If the header code is not showing up as code snippets in the WPCode plugin you might have to check the Header & Footer area – if you previously added scripts there you can still edit that area the same as in the older versions of the plugin.

Ive cheked the Header and footer area and its showing the correct code. However the old code is still present with in the Header and body, I dont see a way to remove them. If I go into the actual header of the theme I cant see any code. From my understanding it held within the databse (I could be wrong) but where in the databse would i find and remove the old code?

    Hi @synthesisit,

Have you tried disabling the WPCode plugin to see if that makes a difference in the output of the old code in the header & body?

If the code is still being output with the plugin disabled maybe you used a different plugin to add that code. If you have just the new code in the Header & Footer and you can’t see the code in the code snippets area it’s likely the code is not loaded from WPCode.

Thansk fr you quick response. I’m not sure how the code was inserted to be fair. I’m not a web developer, I’m just a tech guy and one of our customers has had his developer walk away from them. When i first looked at the site last week I could see the old code in the WPCode plugin when I opene the header/footer menu and just pasted the new code in there, thinking it would overwrite the olde code. Ill try disableing WPCode see what that does.

    Hi @synthesisit,

If you had the codes previously and you replaced them but you are not seeing the changes in the frontend you might need to clear the cache for the website.

Disabling the plugin does remove the new code from the header

I wonder if itsn issue with the theme, but again I cant find anywhere to remove the old code.

    Hi @synthesisit,

If the old code is not removed when the plugin is disabled you should look for another plugin adding that code or in the theme settings if it has a header scripts area or similar.

Hi just so you are aware Its nothing to do with your plug in. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I found the code within Custom JS Code within the theme and removed it.
