Has anyone had success blending the provided Header Styles? I’d love to have the front page display as “Centered Logo and Menu Below style”, and all other pages use the “Logo to the Left and Menu Right” style.

Non-programmer here trying to do everything via Simple Custom CSS plugin to avoid needing a child theme for now. I see that the class of <header id=”masthead”> changes based on the user’s choice in Customize >> Site Options, but can’t figure out how to use the page ID to switch between those classes (if that’s even possible without adding new PHP).

Desired on the front page only:
header masthead class … “site-header container centered”

Desired on all other pages:
header masthead class … “site-header container default”

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately that would require a lot of work and would require a child theme to create a custom header and to have it coded to use php conditionals (if the front page then use this header, otherwise use the other header style). You would also have to take in account the responsive mobile view as well, which would possibly require some additional custom changes.
