Headers cannot e modified error
-
I get this error: Warning: cannot modify header information – headers already sent in /wp-content/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/cleantalk.php on line 438 when I activate the plugin. I tried disabling all other plugins, but the error remains. I tried reinstalling wordpress, deleting and re-installing the plugin. I am at my wits end. My client needs this to safeguard her site from spam, but we cannot have these error messages all over the site. please help!

let me know of your website url
http://viequesrainbowrealty.com but you wont see the problem now. i turned cleantalk off.
One more question, what Theme you are using?
Us take time to check. We will notify you the result or to ask you if we need additional information.
Until then, you can try to install an older version of the plugin 4.5-4.7
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/developers/
1. Go to WP Console -> plugins.
2. Deactivate, delete “Anti-spam by CleanTalk”.
3. Go to WP Console -> plugins -> Add new -> Upload.
4. Download, upload and activate,Does it help?
@tpuell, CleanTalk sets cookies at line #438 in cleantalk.php, please look here,
https://plugins.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/browser/cleantalk-spam-protect/tags/4.10/cleantalk.php#L438
But some WordPress plugin sends page data (HTML code, newlines, whitespaces and etc.) before CleanTalk, that’s why you have this warning.
Can you please disable/enable your WP plugins one by one to find the source of issue? If you will find the problem plugin I will test it with CleanTalk and try to do some fix to resolve the issue.
@denis shagy, i did disable all plugins one by one and the error never went away π
@aleksanddrrazor, i am using a custom theme; i will try to work with the older version, thank youi tried rolling it back down to version 4.0. error remains. i am reasonably sure that it used to work with a version later than that, albeit with a different version of wordpress. think the problem must be in the theme or actual wp, but cannot find anything. looked for white spaces everywhere.
@tpuell, can you please switch theme to see will the warning appear or not?
@denis shagy when i switch theme warning disappears but on some pages get the same error except this time not in cleantalk but in pluggable.php
Thank you for keeping me updated!
So, it is doesn’t plugin issue. May be the new theme is too old? Please look here,
Other WordPress users have same issue.
@denis Shagy Thank you for your help
you are welcome!
