    Hi Sybre,

I recently had a look through the WordPress backend because I was alerted that all of our FAQPage schema had disappeared through GSC, so I figured something must be off.

I went to check a specific post with FAQPage Schema, and I noticed that at the bottom of The SEO Framework’s plugin area, it no longer has the ability to add header/footer scripts?

Is this intended? I know Google had recently changed their requirements around FAQPage schema to limit them to two rich results, but I wasn’t aware if the removal of these sections was due to the fact Google had updated how they show FAQPage schema or not.

Can you please confirm if this is intended behaviour or will the ability to add header/footer scripts to specific pages/posts come back at some point?

    Thanks Sybre, appreciate your help.

    Hello!

TSF should not interfere with other plugins their header/footer scripts. In fact, it should not interfere with any plugin their output at all.

To alleviate some confusion, TSF has never provided FAQPage Schema.org output.

Have you, perchance, implemented something via TSF’s PHP API? If so, could you please share the code?

    Hi Sybre,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Sorry, I think I’m not being clear enough so I apologise.

Basically, when the TSF is installed and you head to a WordPress post/page, and you scroll to the bottom, there was previously an area that said “Area for scripts in Header/Footer area”.

Am I mistaking another plugin for adding this functionality or was it TSF providing this, but it’s been recently removed?

Perhaps I’m confused, but I feel like once I know that for sure, I’ll have to look at what other plugin may be providing that functionality.

    Thanks Sybre.

Just for some clarity, here’s an example of what I was talking about: http://prntscr.com/18wf00y

Under the SEO settings, the ability to add scripts in the header/footer of the page would appear below.

    Thank you for the details!

If you disable TSF, the header/footer pane will reappear? TSF never supplied these fields.

I can only assume the plugin/theme authors of the header/footer-scripts added detection of SEO plugins, thinking their implementation would be redundant when they find TSF?

Just to be sure, check the “⋮ -> Preferences -> Panels” of the editor. Under “Additional,” it might be unchecked accidentally.
