Heading Fix

I’m not sure whose decision it was to include not one but two H2 tags in this plugin, but it’s causing a significant SEO issue. Since the plugin loads at the bottom of the page, having H2 headings in that position disrupts the page’s heading hierarchy and negatively impacts on-page SEO — something that was actually flagged in your reviews nearly two years ago and remains unaddressed.

One H2 appears in the cookie bar itself, and another in the cookie popup. I’ve attempted several workarounds using PHP and JavaScript to resolve this without editing the plugin files directly, but none have been effective.

This is otherwise an excellent, lightweight cookie banner solution — but the SEO impact is a serious drawback that undermines an otherwise great plugin. I’d strongly encourage the developers to address this by replacing the H2 tags with a more appropriate, non-semantic element such as a <p> or <div> with custom styling.
