Heartbeat API Control Settings

    Thank you for including the option for Heartbeat API Control in Super Page Cache! This means I can get rid of a dedicated plug-in “Heartbeat Control by WP Rocket” which previously provided this functionality, which I found pretty much essential for using the Divi theme.

    I have it set to Disabled for both Admin and Front End, and Reduced for Post Editing.
    Please can you advise what rate the Reduced value is actually using, as I used to have it to 180 seconds in the Heartbeat Control plug-in which worked fine. Is ‘Reduced’ set to something similar?

    Thanks for the kind words! Glad it’s working well for you with Divi.

    To answer your question: the “Reduced” setting applies a Heartbeat interval of 120 seconds (2 minutes). This is slightly more frequent than the 180-second interval you had in Heartbeat Control by WP Rocket, but still very conservative and should work just as well for keeping resource usage low.

    Currently the reduced interval is a fixed value and isn’t user-configurable. If you’d find it useful to set a custom interval (e.g. 180 seconds), feel free to share your feedback.
