Height custom field does not save properly

    Hi @nsinelnikov @ultimatemembersupport

    I setup a height field with heights ranging from:
    4′ 6″
    4′ 7″
    4′ 8″
    .
    .
    .
    6′ 10″
    6′ 11″
    7′ 0″

    The issue I am having is when members select it the data is not saving properly to the database.

    I have to manually go into the database and update the field a few times for the data to be saved. When the user goes back to the page and makes an edit to their profile the height data field disappears again and does not display or appear in the database.

    Not sure why this is happening. Any help?

    Hi @sssm,

    Which type of field are you using for height? It should work fine if you use a custom dropdown field in um form. I have checked this, working fine here.

    I have indeed selected the custom dropdown field in the um form.

    In the edit choices section I have added…

    4′ 6″
    4′ 7″
    4′ 8″
    4′ 9″
    4′ 10″
    4′ 11″
    5′ 0″
    5′ 1″
    5′ 2″
    5′ 3″
    5′ 4″
    5′ 5″
    5′ 6″
    5′ 7″
    5′ 8″
    5′ 9″
    5′ 10″
    5′ 11″
    6′ 0″
    6′ 1″
    6′ 2″
    6′ 3″
    6′ 4″
    6′ 5″
    6′ 6″
    6′ 7″
    6′ 8″
    6′ 9″
    6′ 10″
    6′ 11″
    7′ 0″

    I have this field in the registration form and the profile form and both have issues saving. Other custom drop down fields seem to work fine. It is only the ones which have height data associated with them that do not work.

    Any help with this? As mentioned above I believe I have setup the fields correctly but it intermittently works and captures and displays the height.

    Hi @sssm,

    Sorry, I have rechecked again and you are correct. We don’t support special characters like “”,” in dropdown fields because of security issue. For now, you can use something like,

    6.1 inch
    6.2 inch
