    Dear Support,

I’m using the custom page layout. However, in some fields, the text length might vary significantly, causing problems of large white space as the size of the custom field has to be specified manually.

Is there a way to make the height of blocks automatic ? I see that the HTML uses data-row which seems to be the problem. What worker-around could I use, even by modifying entries in the database.

    Thank you for your help

  • Hi @diego999,

I recommend checking out the tabbed product page. It’s the most feature-rich layout and lets you take advantage of all the functionalities in the plugin. You can always add custom css to change the style to how you see fit.

Let us know what changes you want, and we will see what Custom CSS you need to get that result.

    Dear @etoilewebdesign ,

    Thank you for your answer.

Currently, the custom layout, from top to bottom is as follow:

    section1
    custom_field1
    section2
    custom_field2

For some product, the text in custom_field1 is pretty long than others. So far, I manually set the size (with the interface) of custom_field1 to be a bigger rectangle, until the text of all products fit. The problem is that for products with a not so long text, the is a big blank between custom_field1 and section2, that I have to avoid.

In other words, it could be tabbed layout but in a vertical manner. A similar page would be https://www.trinamic.com/products/drives/stepper-pandrives-details/pd28-x-1021/

Thank you for your help !

    Hi @diego999,

Unfortunately, at the moment, the custom tabbed layout is not set to be dynamic, i.e. it’s containers does not adjust to the content. There is no option in the plugin to change this and I cannot provide any Custom CSS that would solve this issue, that is why I suggested using the tabbed layout. If you want something more vertical, perhaps try using the shop style product page. Does that work for you?

    Hi @etoilewebdesign

    Thank you for your answer.

Could you provide some CSS template to do this ? I will have a try these next days. I’m not really comfortable with CSS, do you think the shop style product page would be enough by itself ? Is it also responsive ?

    Hi diego999

Yes, the shop style page is responsive as well. Did you get a chance over the weekend to try it out?

    Hi @etoilewebdesign

Sorry for the delay, I couldn’t work on it since 1 month. I’m having a hard time with tabbed style page to have categories on a vertical axis, without needing to click on a table to see the content for that category. How I could transform the tabbed boxes and display all of them in a vertical axis like https://www.trinamic.com/products/drives/stepper-pandrives-details/pd28-x-1021/ ?

To summarize, I tried using the Shopping style product page and could only manage to have:

    TAB1
    TAB2
    TAB3
    CONTENT1
    CONTENT2
    CONTENT3

So meanwhile, I used the custom template and to make have blocks with a fixed height but dynamic contents, I use scroll-bars, altough this solution is not ideal.

    Thank you for your help

Unfortunately, customizing our plugin to look like a different plugin is not part of the scope of our support. I can tell you that you should be able to get most of the way there using custom CSS. We have a tutorial video with a few examples of how to make use of custom CSS, which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tq386rMtpm8&list=PLEndQUuhlvSoTRGeY6nWXbxbhmgepTyLi&index=13
