Just got this error on my blog page and don’t know how to acceess it to fix it:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”pgcache.purge’ (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE), expecting ‘)’ in /home/everfico/public_html/blog/wp-content/w3tc-config/master.php on line 144

  • Deactivate W3 Total Cache, to resolve the issue.

It looks like that plugin has an error in one of the files, master.php on line 144.

Thanks Evan that is really helpful….not being a webmaster how do I access that to deactivate it?

If you can access the dashboard of your site, head over to ‘Plugins’. Scroll down and find W3 Total cache, check it off and select ‘Deactivate’.

Go ahead and check if the issue is resolved.

Thanks Evan…but I can’t access the dashboard. This error won’t let me get to it? Is there a backend way of accessing it?

You can connect via FTP and either delete the plugin folder completely, or just change the name of the folder and add on something like -deactivated or similar.
