Nothing I try is working. Either there’s an SMTP authorization error or some other error. Please help.
One thing, when setting up google api, do we set project to internal emails or external emails, we weren’t sure what that meant. We just want to send emails through wordpress!! should be simple :)))
we also always get URI redirect errors when attempting to authenticate. error 400 I think

Oh man. I think it was internal vs external setting. Additionally, I did show Host Papa the connectivity test and they had to open port 587. Not sure if that played a part.
