Help – Sidebar, CSS and Theme

I’ve downloaded a wordpress template and for some reason they have disabled the sidebar widgets. I have the widgets showing up and somewhat configured but can’t get them to look the way I want in the CSS & stylesheets. I would like for the featured section over on the left to look like the categories section at the bottom. THANKS!!
