Help Developing First Multi-Site (for beginner)

Hi there.

I’m helping to develop a multi-site right now. The details are that it is a business with two branches: business & leisure. So I would have “www.myCompany.com” (example) as a landing page, and you could click on “Business” or “Leisure” and it would either take you to “www.myCompany.com/business” or “www.myCompany.com/leisure”.

I would like the two branches to be entirely different sites, however, I would like the themes and designs to be identical. My question: should I just customize the two sites independently and safe the hassle of multi-site, or is using a multi-site worth it in this case?
