    Hi!
I’ve been trying to migrate to the new TablePress plugin but I’m having trouble exporting my tables. We have around 2,000 tables on the system, so it’s a lot of work for me to do it manually (and probably I would screw something on the process lol).

I’ve already look into the list and there’s not table with strange names or descriptions, like empty names, “(no name)”, “a” or something. I just can’t identify what are the tables that have problems. I just can’t export them via the WP-Tables options neither the import option from TablePress.

    What should I do? 🙁

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Can you elaborate a little bit more on what kind of errors you are getting? If you are not seeing any error messages, please also check the server error log file (maybe with the help of your webhost).
If there are no broken/corrupted tables, this might indicate that the PHP memory limit is reached. Can you please try the migration again after increasing the PHP Memory Limit by following the instructions at http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP ?

Thnaks for the fast reply! I did it and it was indeed hte memory limit, I had to increase it from 60m to 1gb to export it but I did it.

    Now I have another problem:

The migration was successful but I lost nearly all references, wrong tables are showing in different places, I can’t access the plugin page (show a blank page) and uninstalling the plugin won’t solve it. What can I do?

    Hi,

good to hear that the import now worked!

Now, I’m not really sure what you mean with “lost all references”. Also, it’s weird that wrong tables show in different places, because the migration actually keeps the table IDs, so that nothing should get mixed up there — unless you had tables in TablePress before the migration.
Therefore, I suggest that you try again the migration again, after temporarily uninstalling TablePress via the “Uninstall” button on the “Plugin Options” screen (make sure to backup any newly created tables).
After that, you should have the same tables with the same IDs in TablePress as you had them in WP-Table Reloaded.

With the blank page: What do you see there after setting the “WP_DEBUG” constant to true in the wp-config.php?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi!

I guess that something happened during the last WP_table importing I did, related to the memory limit I guess. I did like you suggested and everything worked well, I removed all the tables and then uninstalled the plugin, then I imported everything again and it worked fine.

    Many thanks!

    Hi,

very nice! That’s great news 🙂 Enjoy TablePress then 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
