Help for beginner

I’m new to wordpress and contact form 7. can you provide help for a beginner.

I hired a developer to build my site – he added this plugin and used it for the contact forms. Now my contact forms don’t work. I get a spinning after you hit send.

I tried to use the best practices document to set up the email forms but it still doesn’t work. I’ve read that I may need to roll back to an earlier version. How do I do that without breaking my site>
