Problem with New Users and Contributors..

Hi All, am having a problem with my blog.. when a
new user register as a guest author, they cant login
to my blog.. when I register them and send the their
login details, they still can login… when they try to re-
register… it shows username already exist and when
they try to login again.. it shows invalid user…
any FIX….
