• Hello,

I recently updated my WordPress and seem to have lost the Jetpack plug-in in the process!
I’ve tried searching for it again and installing it via the dashboard, but the installation fails. I’ve tried downloading the .zip file and uploading it through the dashboard, it doesn’t work.
I’ve tried uploading it via using ftp and this fails too.

I have noticed that the Jetpack files are on my server, but it doesn’t show this on the WordPress dashboard.

I don’t know what else to do, I am not the most tech-savvy person in the world. I have been liaising with my webhost regarding this issue but now I am beginning to think they are not the best people to help me with this.

    Can anyone help?

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

Could you try to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder?

You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:

    wp-content
       plugins
         jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.

Once you’ve done so, you can reinstall the plugin manually as explained here:
    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

You’ll find Jetpack’s zip file here:
    https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/jetpack.4.4.1.zip

Let me know how it goes.
