    Hey!
I work at a swedish school and we are just starting up our podcasting servide to the world. Installed wordpress 2.05 in a subdir. Got it started but had big truoble getting in.
I managed to find a way though, when I had submitted password (and got the usual dns error and nothing happened) I tried to go via admin/upgrade.php (probably read it somewhere). I can also enter if Imanually type /alvradio/admin.

Every time I alter something or make a new post I get the same dns error. This is annoying.
I have tried to rename a file .htaccess, no result.
I have checked the siteurl in our database (sql), still no result.
I have (Everywhere?) told my firewall and IE that my adress is safe and OK, still nothing – would you imagine?

Come to my aid brave knights,
bring tidings of comfort and joy,
    be my blessed angel!

  • If you installed 2.0.5 – you don’t really need to “upgrade”.
What is exactly the “dns error” you are talking about?

Feel free to register and try to move forward!

Ah, and about the upgrade, I now I havent done any upgrades, that was just a method of coming inside. It works if I in my adress field (when I have logged on) just type in http://www.alvboda.se/alvradio/wp-admin.

Inside I have to refresh after every post or alteration af the site.

    1. I don’t register on blogs. Sorry.
    2. Registering wouldn’t help, since the default setting is to be a Subscriber – not able to write anything.
    3. If you want, contact me by clicking on my name and provide me with the admin login info, and I could take a look at it.
